Why We’ve Selected These Items:

The ‘My First Spider’ Tarantula Setup includes a 12cm x 12cm x 8cm ventilated plastic habitat, featuring a small opening for secure feeding of your spider. Use the soft brush to gently coax your spider into their habitat with a firm, consistent pressure. The soft brush can also be used to gently guide wandering livefood insects towards your spider.  Add in the moisture-retaining coir substrate, and top your substrate with some of the moss, a simple lightweight bark hide for your spider to call it’s home and to make your setup look the part, we’ve added an artificial plant cutting to add a touch of flair to the habitat.

Together, you’ve got an enclosure that not only looks the part, but is expertly curated to give your spiderling the best chance of survival.  And – your baby tarantula will feel at home in this naturalistic habitat.

We have chosen the curly hair tarantula because it is an easy going species suitable for beginners and with it’s curly woolly fur, it’s quite the teddy  bear of the tarantula world. Unless of course you are a cricket!
